Nampa Public Library serves of community of over 80,000 residents, who visit the charming but crowded downtown building in steadily increasing numbers to enjoy library services, materials & computer resources. Built in 1919 by SW Idaho's prominent architects Tourtellotte and Hummel, the library building features a stained glass skylight and highly decorated moldings and high ceilings. The library is open 6 days a week, and maintains current information and database access on its webpage.

Children's materials and services are located near the entry/checkout area, where a neon "Youth Attic" sign can be seen identifying the popular teen area on the balcony. The information desk for youth and adults is on the main floor opposite the checkout desk.. Newspapers, magazines and fiction are located on the first floor on the East side of the building. Videos, DVD's, CDs, audio books, large type books, graphic novels, video games and Spanish language materials are popular collections.
